WOULD YOU LIKE A BLESSING?
''All were baptized into Stewart Traill. In every sense of the word: his teaching, his concepts, his view on life, his skepticism of other Christians. Go and learn what this means.''
Blessed is he and blessed is she who is able to get free from the grip of Stewart Traill and the Church of Bible Understanding, and those who are able to overcome his lies and curses will have a great reward.
The Case for Peace

When this page was originally written, many references were referred to, but not written out. We've since revised it to include many of the scriptures that were referred to. Many of these we've boxed off, but they are included to give validity to the statements being made or addressed.
The purpose of this page is to make a case for peace. It is our hope that those who suffered under the unreasonable expectations of Stewart Traill, while in Cobu, and who may still have residual effects or stresses that have remained with them to this day, that they may find peace. We will present scripture and reasonable comparisons, to show that what we received was far from peace.
We also present that Stewart Traill's example is far from what the scripture teaches of Christian conduct and the spirit of God.
It is our hope that you may see the clear contrast between what Cobu held dear and what is the will of God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, that you come to a place of peace.
Any scripture references are in blue and the RSV (Revised Standard Version of the Bible) was used. Any definitions are written in green type, and some observations are in brown type.
The case for peace:
Every Christian who is born again, who bears the name of Christ, must be at peace with the Lord God and his Christ.
Rom 5:1 For we are justified by faith, because we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Faith is what justifies us to be in the presence of God.
Romans chapter 8 verse 1 says: For those who are in Christ: there is no condemnation ~ period.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. |
And, if you are condemned, for any reason, and you remain in condemnation, you are not: in Christ.
Although, Stewart Tanner Traill, made it his trademark, to condemn us, for no reason.
~ He enjoyed pointing the finger at us.
~ He enjoyed making brothers and sisters look down on themselves.
~ He enjoyed convincing us that we were "into" doing something wrong.
~ He enjoyed publicly asking all of us: "What are you into?" or "What are you up to?"
~ He enjoyed getting all of us to ask each other: "What are you into?" or "What are you up to?" regularly.
~ He enjoyed insinuating that we were doing something wrong.
~ He enjoyed getting all of us to think that we had "hidden sins."
~ He enjoyed telling us that we needed to "figure out" what "our sins" were.
~ He enjoyed getting us to "feel" guilty.
~ He enjoyed throwing our "sins" in our faces, which weren't sins at all, but just his "suggestions" of "our supposed" wrongs!
~ He enjoyed making us think that "we were never good enough" for God or for him.
~ He enjoyed getting us to "feel" like we'd never "measure up" to any "right" standard.
~ He enjoyed constantly changing what his opinion of "right standards" were.
~ He enjoyed making us feel confused in just about everything that we did.
~ He enjoyed being openly critical of us as he "boasted" of his own faithfulness.
~ He enjoyed tipping the balances "against us" and lifting himself above everyone else.
~ He enjoyed convincing everyone that his view was supreme and that our views of everything were insignificant.
~ He enjoyed implying that we had fallen short of "God's will" "God's grace" etc.
~ He enjoyed not explaining what he meant by any of his vague implications!
~ He enjoyed pushing us to hard labor and then accusing us of having "bad" attitudes.
~ He enjoyed accusing us of "being lazy" when we were always working and earning money!
~ He enjoyed convincing us of vague improprieties that he never explained.
~ He enjoyed oppressing and condemning the brothers and sisters on a whim and often.
If Stewart Traill truly had "bible understanding" as he boasted about before us, then he would have observed the counsel:
Jas 4:11 Do not speak evil against one another, brethren.
Mt 12:7 And if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless. |
Stewart Traill was the champion of innuendo.
[Def. innuendo - an allusive or oblique remark or hint, typically a suggestive or disparaging one, a statement which indirectly suggests that someone has done something immoral or improper, a hurtful comment. synonyms: insinuation, suggestion, intimation, implication, hint, overtone, undertone, allusion, aspersion, slur, derogatory, insulting gesture.] |
The brothers and sisters were faithful to individual obligations, as proven by the financial success we provided for the fellowship needs.
Funds that Stewart Traill alone had complete access to and control over.
Yet meeting after meeting he made arbitrary accusations.
This was why we called it: The Church of Suspicious Doubt, because we were taught to doubt ourselves continually.
This perpetual "doubting of ourselves" that Stewart Traill saturated into our hearts, minds, and souls, effectively canceled any of the gifts of God as seen in James chapter 1:
Jas 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him.
Jas 1:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
Jas 1:7 For that person must not suppose that a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, will receive anything from the Lord. |
This scripture counsels that a Christian needs to be free of doubt in order to receive anything from the Lord.
By Stewart Traill continually sowing doubt, he effectively canceled our ability to receive the blessings and promises of God.
Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. |
By Stewart Traill continually sowing doubt,
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any confidence at all.
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any sense of exercising any faith at all.
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any sense of pleasing God at all.
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any sense of obtaining any of God's blessings.
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any sense of obtaining any of God's rewards.
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any sense of doing anything right.
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any sense of righteousness.
~ he effectively canceled our ability to have any sense of balance.
~ he effectively created a spirit of doubt instead of faith.
~ he effectively created a sense of faithlessness within us.
~ he effectively created a sense of hopelessness within us.
~ he effectively created a sense of ungodliness within us.
~ he effectively created a sense of unworthiness within us.
By Stewart Traill continually sowing doubt, he effectively created an inability for anyone in Cobu to have peace.
Doubt is a crippler!
We were faithful, yet could not reap the benefits of our faithfulness, because of the doubt Traill poured over us liberally.
It was his own faithlessness that caused him to make false accusations against everyone else all the time.
Stewart Traill demonstrated a lack of faith in God by his constant obsession in being controlling of others.
~ His inability to allow anyone to take a bathroom break during a meeting without throwing out a criticism.
~ His inability to allow anyone to take any break, to even stretch their legs without, saying, "Good bye" derogatorily.
~ His need to have everyones complete and undivided attention focused on him for hours at a time.
~ His inability to recognize that his need for constant attention was very juvenile.
~ His need to put everyone else down publicly, while propping himself up, and getting all of us to prop him up also.
We had a clear conscience, yet he was always accusing us of doing wrong, thinking wrong, or just being wrong.
The way that Stewart Traill taught that "if we had any negative thoughts about him" that we were just making excuses for our own "problems" was his way to deflect anyone from holding him to account, for the wrongs that could clearly be seen by anyone who had eyes to see or ears to hear.
Stewart Traill was all about making condemning suggestions against everyone but himself.
Yet, the Lord Jesus does not condemn us. That's not his job. He despises this kind of behavior, because "in him" there is no condemnation. It's against his nature. It's against his character. It conflicts with the message of peace.
~ Stewart Traill's message conflicted with the message of Jesus Christ.
~ Stewart Traill's message was all about attacking, Jesus Christ is all about building up.
~ Stewart Traill's message is all about shaking our confidence,
Jesus Christ is all about:
~ showing us why we should take confidence:
~ in our salvation,
~ in our call and election,
~ in the steadfast love of the Lord our God,
~ in the reassurance of our hearts,
~ in the ability to overcome the "false feelings" of condemnation,
~ in the ability to recognize that condemnation is an accusation from the devil and those who are being used by him!
Jn 3:17 For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. |
So, Stewart Tanner Traill was a horrible representation of Christ, because The Church of Bible Understanding had nothing to do with the Lord Jesus Christ.
His name was on our lips, but our hearts were in a different place.
Jer 12:2 ...thou art near in their mouth and far from their heart.
Mt 15:8-9 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'"
Mk 7:6 And he said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, 'This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me;
Mk 7:7 in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'
Mk 7:8 You leave the commandment of God, and hold fast the tradition of men."
Mt 12:34 ... For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
Lk 6:45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure produces evil; for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
1Jn 3:17 But if any one has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?
1Jn 3:18 Little children, let us not love in word or speech but in deed and in truth.
Lk 6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?
|
What was it that the Lord God told us that we should do?
Jn 6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."
Ps 26:3 For thy steadfast love is before my eyes, and I walk in faithfulness to thee.
Ps 56:13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, yea, my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
Ps 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; he bestows favor and honor. No good thing does the LORD withhold from those who walk uprightly.
Pro 3:21 My son, keep sound wisdom and discretion; let them not escape from your sight,
Pro 3:22 and they will be life for your soul and adornment for your neck.
Pro 3:23 Then you will walk on your way securely and your foot will not stumble.
Pro 3:24 If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.
Pro 3:26 for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.
1Th 5:9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ
1Jn 3:19 By this we shall know that we are of the truth, and reassure our hearts before him
1Jn 3:20 whenever our hearts condemn us; for God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
1Jn 3:21 Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God;
2Pe 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be the more zealous to confirm your call and election, for if you do this you will never fall;
Mic 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

These are God given gifts and blessings that every Christian should be able to reflect.
Every son and daughter of God should be able to reflect the fruits of the Spirit of God.
Stewart Traill never had nor did he reflect the fruits of the Holy Spirit of God.

Stewart Traill used the name of Jesus to rob the sheep of God, because he is a thief and cares nothing for the sheep.
Stewart Traill used the name of Jesus to rob the sheep of God, because he is selfish, and grasping, and covetous of the "THINGS" of the world that he could get from our labors and earnings for HIMSELF!
Stewart Traill did not have the gifts and blessings of the Holy Spirit of God, because he did not know God, because as he said, "He missed Grace!" He just never even got who Jesus even is!
Eze 34:2 "Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say to them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord GOD: Ho, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep?
Eze 34:3 You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fatlings; but you do not feed the sheep.
Eze 34:4 The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed, the crippled you have not bound up, the strayed you have not brought back, the lost you have not sought, and with force and harshness you have ruled them.
Eze 34:10 Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my sheep at their hand, and put a stop to their feeding the sheep; no longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them.
Eze 34:11 "For thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep, and will seek them out.
Eze 34:14 I will feed them with good pasture, and upon the mountain heights of Israel shall be their pasture; there they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on fat pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel.
Eze 34:15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I will make them lie down, says the Lord GOD.
Eze 34:16 I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the crippled, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will watch over; I will feed them in justice.
Eze 34:18 Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the rest of your pasture; and to drink of clear water, that you must foul the rest with your feet?
Eze 34:19 And must my sheep eat what you have trodden with your feet, and drink what you have fouled with your feet?
Eze 34:22 I will save my flock, they shall no longer be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.
Eze 34:23 And I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd.
Eze 34:24 And I, the LORD, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them; I, the LORD, have spoken.
Eze 34:25 "I will make with them a covenant of peace and banish wild beasts from the land, so that they may dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
Eze 34:30 And they shall know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, says the Lord GOD.

Stewart Traill sold to those of us in Cobu, that we were "God's Best" while at the same exact time he cut us down and oppressed us.
Stewart Traill used religion to get those in this group to work extensive hours and pour all of our earnings into his pockets.
Would that Stewart Traill was truly a Christian teacher who was above reproach, instead of a con man who was into having others serve him.
Mt 6:24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Lk 16:11 If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will entrust to you the true riches?
Lk 16:12 And if you have not been faithful in that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own?
Lk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
Lk 16:14 The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all this, and they scoffed at him.
Lk 16:15 But he said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
Rm 2:22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?
|
Stewart Traill used the name of Jesus to get mammon. And what is mammon? Mammon is things. He always had the attitude:
"What can I get and who can I get over on to help me get it."
Stewart always bragged about how easy it was for him "to get over on us!"
That's what mammon is!
It's the material things, especially wealth and things that are obtained unjustly.
Act 15:10 Now therefore why do you make trial of God by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear?
Mt 23:4 They bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger.
Rom 4:4 Now to one who works, his wages are not reckoned as a gift but as his due.
Mt 25:40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'
1Jn 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced their hearts with many pangs.
|
Stewart Traill loves money. He always has.
The scripture says that "he who loves the world and the things in the world: LOVE for the FATHER is NOT in HIM ~ period!
Some brothers and sisters have a difficult time accepting that:
~ Stewart Traill did not have love for the Father.
~ Stewart Traill, said he "Missed Grace" who is JESUS, so he couldn't love him either!
~ Stewart Traill, missed the most basic counsels of the scripture:
~ not to love money, (1 Ti 6:10, Heb 13:5)
~ not to be harsh, (Jude 1:15, Col 3:19, Pro 15:1)
~ not to oppress God's people, (Ex 22:21, Ex 23:9, Lev 19:13, Deu 24:14, Eze 18:7, Hos 12:7, Mal 3:5)
~ not to withhold kindness, (Job 6:14, Ps 109:16, Pro 21:21, Gal 5:22, Col 3:12)
~ not to provoke others, (Eze 16:26, Lk 11:53, 1 Co 10:22, Eph 6:4, Col 3:21)
~ not to be quarrelsome, (Ti 3:2, Pro 26:21, 1 Ti 3:3, 2 Ti 2:24, Pro 26:17, Is 58:4)
~ not to be puffed up with conceit, (1 Co 4:6, Col 2:18, 1 Ti 3:6, 1 Ti 6:4)
~ not to be greedy, (Ps 10:3, Pro 15:27, Pro 28:25, Jer 6:13, Jer 8:10, Hos 4:8, 1 Co 5:10,11, 1 Co 6:10, Eph 4:19, 1 Ti 3:8, Tit 1:7, 2 Pe 2:3, 2 Pe 2:14)
~ not to be double-tongued, (Ps 5:6, Ps 43:1, Ps 52:4, Ps 109:2, Ps 120:2, Mic 6:11,12, 2 Co 11:13, 1 Ti 3:8, 1 Ti 4:1)
~ not to be abusive, (Ps 11:5, Ps 27:12, Ps 58:2, Pro 3:31, Pro 9:7, Pro 10:6, Pro 10:11, Pro 16:29, Pro 22:10, Pro 24:2, 15, Jer 22:17, Amo 3:10, Lk 3:14, Heb 10:33, 2 Ti 3:2)
~ not to be insulting, (Ps 69:9, Ps 69:20, Ps 89:50, Pro 14:31, Pro 17:5, Mt 5:22)
~ not to look lustfully at girls, (Mt 5:28, 1 Th 4:5, 2 Pe 2:10, 1 Jn 2:16, 1 Co 15:13, Eph 5:12)
~ not to rob the sheep, (Rm 4:4, Lev 19:13, 1 Ti 5:18, Gal 5:1, Mt 25:40)
~ not to steal what others earned, (Ex 20:15, Lev 19:11, Deu 5:19, Ps 69:4, Mt 19:18, Mk 10:19, Lk 18:20, Jn 10:10, Rm 2:21, Eph 4:28)
Tit 3:2 to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all men. Oh yeah, this is just like Traill! Not!
Tit 3:3 For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by men and hating one another;
Tit 3:4 but when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,
Tit 3:5 he saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteousness, but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit,
Tit 3:6 which he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
Tit 3:7 so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life.
Tit 3:8 The saying is sure. I desire you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to apply themselves to good deeds; these are excellent and profitable to men.
Tit 3:9 But avoid stupid controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels over the law, for they are unprofitable and futile.
|
This scripture counsels what a Christian should AVOID, but instead Cobu was filled with stupid controversies, dissensions, and quarrels!
Cobu embraced the very things that the Bible said we should steer clear of!
This is Cobu in a nutshell!
~ Denying us of the blessings and embracing the things of the flesh!
~ Denying us the richness of knowing the grace of God and embracing the attitude of warring with one another and within ourselves!
~ Denying us the fruits of the Holy Spirit and embracing the oppressions of servitude!
~ Denying us the rights and confidences of justice and embracing the feelings of doom and gloom!
~ Denying us the opportunity to love one another in healthy relationships so we could have marriages and families and embracing the drudgery and rut of working just to build up Stewart Traill's empire and let him live in comfort and luxury!
~ Denying us the ability to come to know the great and loving God, who always says "YES" to his children and instead causing us to embrace great disappointments and always being told "NO" when it came to being able to trust in the leading of God for our own fruitful lives and having the freedom to chose our own direction and follow after the God given interests of our own hearts and minds!
2Co 1:17 Was I vacillating when I wanted to do this? Do I make my plans like a worldly man, ready to say Yes and No at once?
2Co 1:18 As surely as God is faithful, our word to you has not been Yes and No.
2Co 1:19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we preached among you, Silvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No; but in him it is always Yes.
2Co 1:20 For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why we utter the Amen through him, to the glory of God.
Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. |
Yet Stewart Traill got us to boast that: we portrayed "God's Best!"
Stewart Traill was all about boasting of things that he knew not!
Stewart Traill was all about boasting of things that he didn't display in the least.
Cobu wasn't even in the ballpark!
Stewart Traill was all about getting us to project a cocky confidence of "faith in God" which was actually just a facade, a fake, a lie that we didn't even believe for ourselves, and as Stephen Kaung said, was just pseudo-Christianity, following after a man instead of the counsel of God.
We were unkind to ourselves and to each other! We had no peace! We had no mercy! We had no true love for one another, no grace, no hope, no good!
Tit 3:10 As for a man who is factious, after admonishing him once or twice, have nothing more to do with him, |
~ Too bad we didn't apply this verse to Traill who was constantly making factions (arguments, conflicts, disagreements, discord, disputes, and quarrels) among us!
Tit 3:11 knowing that such a person is perverted and sinful; he is self-condemned. |
Yes, Stewart Traill proved himself to be perverted, sinful and self-condemned, too bad we blinded our eyes from seeing the truth of his ungodly nature!
Too bad we listened to Stewart Traill's counsel: "Not to hold him accountable for his vile actions that conflicted with the counsel of God as shown in the scripture!"
Too bad we listened to Stewart Traill's counsel: "Where every negative thing was 'all our own fault' and had nothing to do with the wrong teaching and conduct that he portrayed!"
Many of the behaviors that Stewart Traill exhibited before us in Cobu did not reflect the ways and teachings of Christ, but instead were the example of one who indulged in his own flesh.
1Ti 6:3 If any one teaches otherwise and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching which accords with godliness,
1Ti 6:4 he is puffed up with conceit, he knows nothing; he has a morbid craving for controversy and for disputes about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, base suspicions,
1Ti 6:5 and wrangling among men who are depraved in mind and bereft of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.
1Ti 6:6 There is great gain in godliness with contentment;
1Ti 6:7 for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world;
1Ti 6:8 but if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
1Ti 6:9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced their hearts with many pangs.
1Ti 6:11 But as for you, man of God, shun all this; aim at righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.
1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1Ti 6:13 In the presence of God who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession,
1Ti 6:14 I charge you to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ;
1Ti 6:15 and this will be made manifest at the proper time by the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
1Ti 6:16 who alone has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
|
Jude 1:14 It was of these also that Enoch.. prophesied, saying, "Behold, the Lord came with his holy myriads,
Jude 1:15 to execute judgment on all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their deeds of ungodliness which they have committed in such an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
Jude 1:16 These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own passions, loud-mouthed boasters, flattering people to gain advantage.
Jude 1:17 But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Jude 1:18 they said to you, "In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions."
Jude 1:19 It is these who set up divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.
Jude 1:20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit;
Jude 1:21 keep yourselves in the love of God; wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
Jude 1:22 And convince some, who doubt;
(Don't step on them further and increase their doubt, as Stewart Traill loved to do!)
Jude 1:23 save some, by snatching them out of the fire; on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
(Stewart Traill was into getting everyone to proclaim: "I'm standing in the lake of fire, but Jesus still loves me!" ~ this is a doctrine of the devil! This counsel that he had the young, newly saved stand on a crate and pronounce was in direct conflict with the counsel of the scripture!)
|
The scripture counsels:
Pro 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
|
Which is a teaching on what a "good wife" is like, yet didn't Jesus say that the church is his bride?
Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior.
Eph 5:24 As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands.
Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,
Eph 5:27 that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:29 For no man ever hates his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the church,
Eph 5:32 This mystery is a profound one, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church;
|
If the scripture teaches that the church is the bride of Christ, his wife and Pro 31 teaches that "the right wife" has "the teaching of kindness on her tongue"
Wouldn't it stand to reason that ~ if Cobu was truly "a right church" ~ that it would reflect Jesus's teaching of kindness?
Yet Cobu reflected, not the aspects of Jesus, but instead, reflected the attitudes that Stewart Traill glories in and instilled within us:
~ harshness,
~ mocking,
~ scoffing,
~ oppressing,
~ robbing,
~ cutting,
~ doubt,
~ frustration,
~ confusion,
~ irritation,
~ humiliation,
~ deprivation,
~ partiality,
~ the idea that it's okay for him to rob from us,
~ that it's okay for him to make demands of us,
~ that it's okay for him to oppress us,
~ that it's okay for him to humiliate us,
~ that it's okay for him not to project the goodness and kindness of the Lord our God.
Stewart Traill not only did not present the so-called "church" of Cobu without spot or blemish, but he drove her:
~ into the ground,
~ into the dust,
~ into oppression,
~ into a grasping and coveting machine to supply himself with all of his own selfish desires and oppressed the brothers and sisters who supported him, his family, and everyone else, while they had no freedoms to make any choices about their own money that they earned.
This does not make for peace.
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world.
|
Why the constant push for witnessing?
Because witnessing represented income, the more people the more money for Traill.
It was his complex scheme of mischief.
This mischief is complex and usually mischief is a means of hurting other people.
So, the confusion that brothers and sisters are feeling, those who are in and those who are out, is due to the sense of being his prisoners instead of the joy and peace of being God's people.
And you will say, "How are we his prisoners?" because this is a heart issue.
Your heart belongs to Stewart Traill and the obligations that he instilled within you saying that "it was God's way" when it was actually "Stewart Traill's way" and not the way of the Lord Jesus Christ, as shown clearly through the counsel of the scriptures.
When you allow someone to mislead you, to mock you, to condemn you, to deceive you into believing that they are worthy of all your devotion, when you allow them to rob the money you've earned saying "it's for the orphanage in Haiti" when the orphanage in Haiti did not and does not even reflect the minimum standards of cleanliness and decency, yet Stewart Traill lives in a mansion, has a built in swimming pool, spends his days ingratiating himself to the young and innocent daughters of his people, where he does countless things that contradict the behavior of someone faithful to God, yet you not only don't leave his group, but you condone the things that he does that you know are wrong! This is how you are prisoners! And even those who have left, still believe in their hearts and minds that "he is above reproach" but they just "weren't committed enough" to stay! This is heart and mind bondage!
[Def. ingratiate - intended to gain approval or favor; sycophantic.
"an ingratiating manner"
synonyms: sycophantic, toadying, fawning, unctuous, obsequious; flattering, insincere; smooth-tongued, slick; greasy, oily, saccharine; smarmy, slimy
"a forced and ingratiating smile" ~ "Stewart Traill ingratiated himself to young girls in his group who were only a quarter of his age, with questionable intentions."]
[Def. condone - accept and allow (behavior that is considered morally wrong or offensive) to continue.
"the group felt compelled to condone anything that was done by the guy who conned them"
synonyms: disregard, accept, allow, let pass, turn a blind eye to, overlook, forget; forgive, pardon, excuse, let go
"we seemed willing to condone dreadful behavior, that if anyone else did the same, we would object"] |
And how will you know if your heart belongs to the Lord Jesus or not, when you are called to make a choice.
Many chose to fight for Stewart Traill, in their hearts, in their minds, and in their words, for what he stood for and what he stands for.
Yet they don't know if they will stand up for Jesus, and what he stands for.
And how do you know what he stands for, because we have the word of the living God, which is the Bible, that's how we know.
If you clearly see that Stewart Traill's ways completely conflict with what the counsel of the scripture projects as the ways of a Christian, yet you still defend his ways and actions, than chances are that you're a prisoner of the beliefs that he instilled within you.
~ If in your heart you still honor, someone who has proven to be dishonorable,
~ If in your heart you still stand behind, someone who has proven to be unjust,
~ If in your heart you still think highly of someone who has proven to be hurtful of others,
~ If in your heart you still call a man "brother" who has proven to be a worthless scoundrel,
~ If in your heart you still worship someone who has proven to be abusive,
~ If in your heart you still justify, someone who has displayed openly all the behaviors that God despises,
~ than chances are that you are still in bondage and are a prisoner of someone who deceived and conned you, out of the riches and loving kindness of the Lord our God and his Christ, and you need to be freed from the grip of this deception.
If your heart fights against the Lord Jesus or the counsels that the scripture clearly describes that a Christian should reflect, then chances are, you're not at peace, chances are that you're in conflict with the counsels of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In Corinthians it says we are called to peace. We are called to have peace. Jesus is the prince of peace. He came, and his mission was peace.
1Co 7:15 ...For God has called us to peace.
Is 1:18 "Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
Is 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
Jn 16:33 I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
Rm 5:1 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Php 4:9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do; and the God of peace will be with you.
Col 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
Rm 10:15 And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!"
|
Now we were taught in Cobu by Stewart to war with one another and even within ourselves!
We were taught in Cobu by Stewart to war with the unsaved, but that's not what it's supposed to be about.
It's supposed to be about being "a new person" in Christ Jesus, someone able to reason with others, not attack and fight with them as Stewart Traill displayed before us and taught us to copy.
A renewed heart and a renewed mind are priceless.
Our heart is supposed to be soft toward the Lord Jesus and not hard.
One who has a hard heart is one who resists and is not open to hear the voice of the Lord.
We're supposed to have a soft heart and share with the world the gospel of peace, we are told, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news, who preach the gospel of peace, who bring good tidings of joy.
How can we share with the world the blessings and message of Jesus, if we don't even have it ourselves, because Stewart Traill couldn't teach what he didn't know!?
How can we share with the world the joy and loving kindness of Jesus, if we haven't even seen it, nor received it ourselves, because Stewart Traill couldn't teach what he didn't know!?
How can we share with the world the love and righteousness of Jesus, if we haven't seen it, nor have we received it ourselves, because Stewart Traill couldn't teach what he didn't know!?
How can we share with the world the peace and patience of Jesus, if we haven't seen it, nor have we received it ourselves, because Stewart Traill couldn't teach what he didn't know!?
How can we share with the world the wisdom and knowledge of Jesus, if we haven't seen it, nor have we received it ourselves, because Stewart Traill couldn't teach what he didn't know!?
How can we share with the world the anything of the grace of Jesus, if we haven't seen it, nor have we received it ourselves, because Stewart Traill couldn't teach what he didn't know!?
How can we share with the world our belief in Jesus, if we haven't been taught who Jesus really is because Stewart Traill missed Jesus, when he missed grace, so we didn't received it ourselves, because Stewart Traill couldn't teach what he didn't know!?
Are you beginning to see the dilemma here?
Are you beginning to see the conflict here?
How can we teach what we do not know?
How can we continue to project that "Cobu is a right church" when it's saturated with false teachings?
How can we continue to believe that "we have all the answers" when Stewart Traill was completely led by his own flesh and knew nothing about godliness, nor holiness, nor any of the counsels and conducts of righteous behavior?
How can we continue to assume that "we know the secret of all the mysteries of Christ" when in truth we lacked the most basic principles of God's nature and conduct?
Is 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns."
Rm 10:15 And how can men preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach good news!"
Deu 11:16 Take heed lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,
1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts,
1Co 6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.
1Co 15:33 Do not be deceived: "Bad company ruins good morals."
Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Jas 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted with evil and he himself tempts no one;
Jas 1:14 but each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.
Jas 1:15 Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown brings forth death.
Jas 1:16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
2Ti 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good,
2Ti 3:4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
2Ti 3:5 holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. AVOID SUCH PEOPLE.
2Ti 3:6 For among them are those who make their way into (the sisters bedrooms) households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and swayed by various impulses,
2Ti 3:7 who will listen to anybody and can never arrive at a knowledge of the truth.
2Ti 3:13 ...while evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived.

A Christian is supposed to be an envoy of peace.
What's an envoy, but someone who represents Jesus.
I say, that Stewart Traill and The Church of Bible Understanding and his disciples, whether they are in or whether they are out, are Stewart Traill's representatives, and not those who represent Jesus.
Stewart Traill's example conflicts completely with the example of Jesus in the Bible.
If Stewart Traill's example paled in comparison to Jesus's example, then the only thing you need to consider: is whose example were we following when in Cobu, and since Cobu?
It is because of this conflict that it is vital that God counseled us to get free from the grip of Stewart Traill.
It is because of this conflict that we all need to recognize that as long as we are in his grip, that he has power over us.
It is because of this conflict that we all need to recognize that God called us to freedom and Stewart Traill called us to servitude.
It is because of this conflict that we all need to recognize that only God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, can open our eyes to the grips that have taken hold of our hearts.
It is because of this conflict that we all need to recognize that only God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, can deliver us from evil and set us free from the bondage to Stewart Traill's customs and beliefs.
The only way you can resist the pull of Stewart Traill's biblically conflicting expectations and enter into peace with God, is by seeking the Lord Jesus Christ and asking him to show you if the things we have described are true for you.
And this is why we have worked on this web site, to make it abundantly clear to you that Stewart Traill is and always has been a fraud and a lier and no lover of God, nor Jesus.
So you can have life.
So you can be at peace and make peace with the Lord Jesus Christ and His father. That is why we are bringing you this web site.
Jn 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
|
The cause for peace is great, because many of you are not living life to its fullest.
All the things that a Christian is supposed to have, you may lack, because of the abundant self-doubt that Stewart Traill filled us with.
~ A Christian is supposed to have peace.
~ A Christian is supposed to have joy.
~ A Christian is supposed to have faith.
~ A Christian is supposed to have hope.
~ A Christian is supposed to have comfort and strength.
These are things that Stewart Traill never allowed those in his charge to experience.
Stewart Traill's mission was to get us to believe that if we accomplished all of his interests, we were "being" faithful.
Stewart Traill taught pseudo-Christianity, to accomplish his own goals and interests, as seen by the toys he accumulated with the funds those in the body earned.
We were never allowed to obtain blessings of the holy spirit of God, because we were a group that was overcome with doubt.
We were never allowed to obtain the promises of God, because then we would have demonstrated confidence in the love that God has for us.
This was not extended to we who were so saturated with suspicious doubt and had no trust in anyone, especially not ourselves!
Stewart Traill sold us a bill of goods, namely servitude to his empire, and at the same time robbed us of our rightful blessings, especially the blessing of peace with God.
Stewart Traill snuffed out our hope and the richness of God's blessings and replaced it with an obligation to serve him, while doling out the "illusion" of salvation.
When one is able to see clearly that Cobu was imitation Christianity, false religion, and a "functioning plantation" to bring about the will of the master: Stewart Traill, only then can you recognize that all the "strictures" of Cobu had nothing to do with the gift of salvation.
You don't have all the things that a Christian is supposed to have and this is a shame because the slave does not continue in the house forever. (Jn 8:35)
Jn 8:35 The slave does not continue in the house for ever; the son continues for ever.
Jn 8:36 So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
Rm 6:16 Do you not know that if you yield yourselves to any one as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
1Co 7:23 You were bought with a price; do not become slaves of men.
2Co 11:20 For you bear it if a man makes slaves of you, or preys upon you, or takes advantage of you, or puts on airs, or strikes you in the face.
Gal 4:9 but now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and beggarly elemental spirits, whose slaves you want to be once more?
2Pe 2:19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption; for whatever overcomes a man, to that he is enslaved.
|
You have been called to sons, but you have been made slaves, and that is to Stewart Traill's shame, but I say, you need to break free from his grip.
Be at peace.
Come to peace.
Receive peace.
Know peace.
Seek peace and pursue it and don't settle for this life of slavery, where only one persons heart matters. (Ps 34:14, 1 Pe 3:11)
Rm 6:16 Do you not know that if you yield yourselves to any one as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? |
~ Your heart doesn't matter to Stewart Traill.
~ You don't matter to Stewart Traill.
~ Stewart Traill's main interest is for you to keep working for him.
~ And he's lying to you and telling you that you're doing it for Jesus.
Jesus is angry with Stewart Traill.
The Lord God and His Christ are both angry with Stewart Traill, because his name is being called a curse and a mockery and the Lord Jesus has responded and he says, "No more!"
The Lord Jesus will take vengeance, on his adversaries, scripture cannot be broken.
Rm 12:19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." |
Will the Lord chide forever? I say he will not.
But I say, rise up and seek the Lord, seek his wisdom.
If you still pray. If you still love the Lord Jesus.
But I say, Stewart Tanner Traill presents a wrong representation of Christianity and that he has transgressed against God and his people.
He has thrown shame in your face.
He is throwing and casting shame in the face of the Lord Jesus and is spitting in his eye.
We are exposing the sham that Stewart Traill presented to we who sought God in Christ Jesus and were instead deceived.
So this is the case for peace, the plea for peace.
So I say, think on these things, pray about these things, consider these things, take stock of your life, think about the conflicting voice of Stewart and the voice of God in Jesus.
Think about what you want to be, and what you've fulfilled in your life.
If the theft of your heart and soul and mind and strength by the lies of Stewart Traill have challenged your ability to experience the peace of Christ, then God desires to restore you and set you free from that bondage.
Do you feel fulfilled?
Do you think there is more to life than this?
Think on these things.
Think about what we are saying, consider it, before you dismiss it, before you scoff at it, as Stewart taught us to do, to anything that challenged his behavior.
Pray about it.
Ask God to show you.
Ask him to open your eyes and help you to see.
We have learned that the first step to any kind of healing, of any heartfelt wound, is that it's necessary to actually "look into" or "look at" what has occurred and thereby connecting to it, in order to lift it up in prayer and have it be removed.
Even in physical illness a correct diagnosis is necessary for a treatment plan to begin. You may have been at one place at one time, but the only place to really start is where you are now.
If you have deep wounds that rob you of peace, rob you of sleep, rob you of being able to function as you would like to function, than the Lord God of Hosts and His Christ have a therapy that you may find blesses you more than you could have asked or even considered.
The type of mass abuse and negative conditioning that those of us who were in The Church of Bible Understanding experienced and witnessed over a considerable period of time needs to be looked at, it's a first step.
Even the ones who weren't personally spoken disrespectfully to, if you witnessed someone else being treated wrongly and offensively, then you also were a victim of mistreatment and learned to conduct yourself in such a way as not to be treated harshly as you saw someone else treated. This is the way that conditioning is done. It is meant to make everyone fall in line.
The Lord our God and His Christ asked us to do all that was in our power to expose the awful things that devour, so that hearts can be freed from the grip of pain, frustration, confusion, and oppression, so that the fruits of the Holy Spirit can be restored and replenished in the hearts, and souls, and minds, of those who only sought to do what they were taught was God's will for them.
If a child is born into an abusive home, he has no immediate refuge and can suffer the damage of his environment. Cobu was and is an abusive environment as proven over and over again by the language that developed. Those who were and still are under it's intense and inflexible influence may not realize that freedom from this oppression is nearer to you now, than when you were first deceived.
Faith is something that brings each of us out of our particular comfort zones. You may have memorized many scriptures and still feel as though it is a foreign language, yet the harsh voices of Cobu may still ring strongly in your ears.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever ~ he alone has the power to restore you to peace with God and to Himself. This is the Will of God for all who are called by His name.
The comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit are available to you.
Thank you for reading our website.
We felt this final letter of appeal, on this page: "The Case for Peace" revealed so well what our fellowship: Living Water is all about that we copied it to our "Home" page also.
We hope that this page has been effective in revealing what God expressed to us, when we sought him to show us the truth about Cobu and Stewart Traill.
It is our hope and prayer that all who are and were oppressed in the house of our youth, may find the strength to draw near to the throne of grace and find grace to help in time of need. Heb 4:16
We've been praying for you every single day for a very long time.
If you want a blessing, if you need prayer, let us know.
Rm 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
WOULD YOU LIKE A BLESSING?
